I’ve seen several of these videos on YouTube in the past couple weeks. It seems like a fun tag, so I thought I’d do it here even if I wasn’t tagged by anybody.
My blog, my rules, right? Haha.
The tag was created by Ariel Bissett, and you can see her original video here.
Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
I’ve got two books that I started earlier this month that I still need to finish:
»» Jade City by Fonda Lee
»» The Tropic of Serpents by Marie Brennan
Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?
I read Small Spaces by Katherine Arden earlier this month, and it is the perfect autumnal read. Middle Grade, a little spooky, and set at a pumpkin patch. Plus, it’s Katherine Arden so obviously it was fantastic.
Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?
I’ve got three new releases that I’m super stoked for:
»» The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern
»» Starsight by Brandon Sanderson
»» The Light of All that Falls by James Islington
What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
»» The Dragon Republic by RF Kuang
»» The Kingdom of Copper by SA Chakraborty
»» Assassin’s Quest by Robin Hobb
Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favorite book of the year?
I think either The Starless Sea or Starsight definitely have a shot of being at the top of my favorites list.
Have you already started making reading plans for 2020?
Not anything too serious, but I’ve started tracking upcoming releases on Goodreads. I know I’ll want to focus on reading off my shelves, but that’s pretty standard. And, I think I’d like to start a bookish bullet journal for 2010. And participate in more readathons.
Have you done this tag yet? If so, link it below so I can check it out. 🙂
Happy Reading ♥
This book tag looks like so much fun! I’m loving all the SFF books mentioned here 😍💞 I’ve been meaning to read Marie Brennan’s books! Lovely post!! 💖
