I’m back! ๐
Sorry for the unexpected hiatus this month, but the combination of life getting busy and me feeling really slumpy, I just couldn’t focus long enough to get some posts up. But, I finally finished a book so its put me in the blogging mood. Plus, I missed talking books with all you wonderful booklovers!
So I thought I’d start off with an easy post to get me back in the grove.
A couple of weeks ago I was nominated by Lois and David at Lois Reads Books for the Versatile Blogger Award which is incredibly thoughtful. You should definitely check out their blog if you haven’t already – its full of wonderful bookish content. Thanks again for the nomination guys! ๐

The Rules:
- Display the award on your blog.
- Thank the blogger that nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
- Share 7 facts about yourself.
- Nominate 10 bloggers for the award and provide links to their blog.
Facts About Me:
- I have a graduate degree in History, and I teach American History as an adjunct professor at a University (in addition to my full-time job.)
- My favorite color is purple – so if I’m buying some and there is a color option 9 times out of 10 I’m going with the purple version.
- I have an 8 year old son who loves to read almost as much as I do. We are currently reading our way through the Harry Potter series, and we just started book 7. Needless to say, he’s not a big fan of JK Rowling at the moment. Haha.
- I turn 29 next month. Eeek!
- I tune out the entire world when I’m reading – and if someone attempts to get my attention, it usually takes 2 or 3 tries.
- I almost never leave home without a book since I usually carry my current read in my purse. You never know when you’re going to find yourself with 15 extra minutes that you could be reading.
- I regularly stay up waaayyy too late to finish a book even though I know I’m going to be super tired the next day. I just have to know how everything ends before I can sleep.
I Nominate:
Swetlana – Reading Through the Nights
If you’ve already been nominated for this – you don’t have to do it again, just know that I think your blog is awesome! ๐

I should make it more of a habit to take a book with me wherever I go! I usually only have one on me when I am going to see my doctor because I know the waiting time is ridiculous and I might as well read while I wait!
And oh I do feel you on the staying up too late to finish a book part! Sometimes me being dead tired wins, but usually I will power through and finish the book! Earlier this year I read an entire book in one sitting and only got to bed at around 4AM I think. Needless to say, I was really tired the next day.
Thank you so much for nominating me! I can’t wait to do this on the blog soon! ๐

Whenever I buy a new purse, I always make sure it’s big enough to hold a book!

Congrats and happy (early) birthday!! ๐
That’s awesome that you have a little reading buddy with your son. I’m sure he’ll cherish those memories spent reading with you all his life. My mom and I always went book shopping together when I was a kid and I have so many great memories with her because of it. ๐
