I had a pretty good reading month in February – even though I only read 4 of the 6 books on my TBR. I got hooked on the Shades of Magic trilogy, got caught up on my favorite comic series, read a debut from my most anticipated list, and read another book from my Top 17 to Read in 2017 list. So far 2017 is shaping up to be a pretty fantastic reading year for me. 🙂

This is the 3rd book in the Jackaby series. And though I’m only about 50 pages in, but I’m loving it so far. This installment focuses on solving the murder of Jenny Cavanaugh – ghost and friend to Jackaby and Abigail. The series is just a fun paranormal mystery that doesn’t take itself to seriously. Perfect for a break between heavier fantasy/sci-fi books.
What great things did you read this month?
I wish my reading month would have been a bit better this month, so far I’ve finished two books and like I mentioned earlier, I’m about 200 pages into AGOS. For some reason I didn’t really feel like picking up a book for most of the month and I didn’t want to force myself just for the sake of having read more books and being able to talk about them in my wrap up. I am going to keep it real and hope that next month turns out to be a more successful one reading wise!
I’m really happy you had a great reading month and I can’t wait to read your reviews for AGOS and Wires and Nerve! I still can’t decide if I want to pick that book up because I have never read a graphic novel before!

I don’t blame you there. I think one of the worst things you can do for a slump is force yourself to read – that takes all the enjoyment out of it. And, that’s what reading should be: fun!
Thanks! I’m hoping to have them up this week. If you love the Lunar Chronicles, Wires and Nerve would be a great intro to graphic novels since you’re already familiar with the world and characters.
Hope you have a better reading month in March! 🙂

I didn’t read a single thing in February. I couldn’t even get through any pages of the Langston Hughes collected works I’ve been working through. That said – I think I might have finally broken my months-long book slump! I’ve just started reading The Night Circus (I know – I’m a bit late to the game). I can’t say I’m loving it, but it’s so well written and engaging that I just can’t abandon it. =]

The Night Circus is sooo wonderful! Its one of my absolute favorite books – and I think its one that grows on you as you read it. You just fall more in love with the Circus and the characters as you spend more time with them.
I hope March is a better reading month for you – and that you’re able to kick that slump to the curve! 🙂

Yeah, the book is definitely growing on me! Hopefully I’ll be able to finish it and get a review up by next week. =] And thanks! Fingers crossed, haha

I also finished Caraval, Wires and nerve, and The long way to a small angry planet this month! I do have to say that the long way to a small angry planet was more science fiction and more involving emotion than I was expecting! I hope to pick up its sequel in March or April!

That’s awesome!
Yeah, The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet was so heartwarming. The plot was good – but it was the characters that really shined! I’m super excited about the second book too! 🙂

From the description of the book I fully expected it to be plot and action driven. But the fact that it was so focused on the characters, their emotions, and their interactions was a good surprise!

Great month! February is our shortest month but man I feel like it was just Valentine’s day and here we are already in March! Thank you for your reviews, opinion and over all book blog. You are one of the blogs that have inspired me to start reading more and I am grateful. Currently my goal is to finish 2 books this month which I have already picked up. One fantasy/romance and the other mystery/thriller. Have a great week!
